Luxury sedan or not, no one can deny that the Cadillac CTS-V is one hell of a car. The 2005 version put out 400 horsepower and 395 lb-ft of torque — and that’s when it’s just stock.
This week’s Drag Race video features a 4th generation Pontiac Firebird packing an LS1 V8 racing against a late model Dodge Ram 2500. While you would think right away that an LS1 Firebird would thrash a heavy duty Dodge truck, this diesel powered Ram pickup definitely appears to have a little work done.
This video is enough to make any fan of high-performance, rear wheel drive vehicles smile. After all, we all love the sounds of a loud and proud engine, and the whine of a Prius certainly doesn’t qualify.
In this video we get to see a cop pull up and arrest the driver of a beautiful Chevrolet Chevelle SS, who just moments before was doing some lovely donuts on the street.
Within those walls is a 2000 Pontiac Trans Am WS6. The engine is 346 cubic inches (for now) and has a S475 Turbo. The ride also has twin Walbros, FIC 1000cc injectors, and more. The Trans Am has 775 horsepower and 669 torque at 16 psi with regular pump gas.
