When it comes to the world of drifting, there’s no easier way of making huge power than to slap an LS into the engine bay and add nitrous. That’s why when Formula D champion, current Rockstar Energy spokesman, and VW enthusiasts Tanner Foust wanted to get back into the world of Formula D, he dropped in a 900 horsepower LS into his specially built Formula D Volkswagen Passat.

In his latest video, Tanner has pro cyclist Tim Johnson ride along in the aforementioned LS powered Passat, and powers  through a Cycling TT course down in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Tim is down there to help showcase the route that will be holding the USA Cycling Time Trials.  But obviously, in order to do so, one wouldn’t just use a bicycle right?

Watch as Tim attempts to talk through the course as Tanner rips through the entire track sideways with the tires begging for mercy. All thanks to a LS V8.
