Insane Turbo Cadillac CTS-V Produces 1,400 Horsepower

By -

Pure Fabrication transforms 2013 CTS-V into a drag-racing monster.

In its factory specification, the 2013 Cadillac CTS-V’s 6.2-liter V8 supercharged engine produces 556 horsepower and 551 pound-feet of torque. The drive is sent to the rear wheels. Meanwhile, the third-generation CTS-V produces 640 horsepower and 630 pound-feet of torque and it accelerates from 0-60 miles per hour in 3.7 seconds.

However, the CTS-V in That Racing Channel‘s new YouTube video (above) produces around 1,400 horsepower! Even hypercars like Ferrari LaFerrari, Porsche 918 Spyder and McLaren P1 do not produce as much power. In fact, even a Formula One race car does not produce 1,400 horsepower. Plus, this modified CTS-V is road-legal.

“We still have ABS…we still have gauge cluster,” says the CTS-V’s owner Joey Diotalevi. “Everything functions like it should. Nothing has been taken out of this car. All we have done is added weight to the car. It’s truly a street car, we drive on the streets every weekend. It’s a blast.”

‘Everything that has been done to this car was done in our shop.’

Diotalevi is the owner of Pure Fabrication, an automobile workshop located in Panama City, Florida. “We used to run [this CTS-V] with a supercharger … [and then] decided to go a different route,” he says in the video. “We ended up making a custom turbo kit, fabricated in-house. We went with a Billet 88mm turbo, still went air-to-air intercooler. The turbo is doing great. The efficiency is doing great. We’re creeping up on the boost. Everything that has been done to this car was done in our shop.” After the modifications, the CTS-V weighs around 4,600 pounds. However, it is a menace on the drag strip.

Many driving enthusiasts love the Cadillac CTS-V. The 2019 model costs $86,995. However, if you want one, better hurry up, because Cadillac will discontinue the high-performance sedan later this year.
