Camaro ZL1 Makes 760 RWHP with the Stock Supercharger

Vengeance Racing showcases their ‘Stage 4’ Camaro ZL1 package, which makes big power without upgrading the supercharger.

Credit where it’s due, Vengeance Racing knows how to make a flashy, short video. This video from their YouTube channel, which features a modified Camaro ZL1, is punchy, highly color-graded and gets right into the action, at least, as soon as the beat drops.

Editing critiques aside, the ZL1 in this video features their “Stage 4” upgrade package, which still retains the factory supercharger setup on the LT4 V8 engine. In various cutaway shots, we see some of the upgrades involved in making over 760 RWHP through the stock blower. According Vengeance Racing, this amounts to upgraded heads, a cam, a more aggressive supercharger pulley and then the typical intake, headers and exhaust upgrade, as well as a dyno tune for pump gas and MS109 race fuel. Don’t forget the triple-disc clutch to help the 6-speed manual transmission handle the increased power.

The results are impressive. A dyno sheet shows 733 RWHP and 716 RWTQ on 93 octane pump gas, and a healthy 762 RWHP and 754 RWTQ on MS109 race gas.

The video then cuts to an interior shot of the ZL1 laying waste to its rear tires. First gear is totally useless on the street, and a quick shift into second isn’t much better. Up into third gear and we see some real forward bite coming out of the car. A few cinematic shots of the exterior show this beast doing rolling burnouts away from the camera before the screen turns black. Where do we sign up?
