BUSTED! Watch Jay Leno Get Pulled Over In a Z06
Everyone’s favorite, or least favorite, man in denim is back with his latest episode of Jay Leno’s Garage. In this new episode, Chevrolet drops off a pre-production Corvette Z06 convertible, with the 8-speed automatic, for Jay to try out.
During his testing of the car, it appears that he gets pulled over for speeding as well. I suppose that’s always a possibility in a car that makes 650 horsepower and 650 lbs/ft of torque!
Aside from the obvious power and speed of the car, Jay is impressed with other aspects. He comments on how light the carbon fiber hood is. He’s impressed by the rear wing and aerodynamics.
He even likes how quiet the car is driving along when not on the throttle. It is a car that you can truly live with everyday.
It’s also faster than the ZR1 he owns, and costs less to buy than that car. While I’m sure Mr. Leno is happy with his ZR1, he does seem a bit miffed at how powerful the new car is, and how much more advanced it is than the car he currently has.
The pre-production car also has some pretty worn tires. But overall, he seems impressed with the car. And really, what’s not to like?
He’d still rather have the manual transmission, and I don’t blame him there. At the end, he gets on it in front of an unmarked police cruiser, which then pulls him over. It’s worth watching just for that!
