C6 Corvette

Comprehensive Corvette build spared no expense, but now it’s looking for a new home with a healthy discount.

There’s no denying that building your own car from scratch is a fun and rewarding process. One that most folks here at LS1 Tech rather enjoy. But there’s also no denying that fact that the cheapest and easiest way to go fast is to buy somebody else’s finished project. Thus, we often find ourselves perusing the LS1 Tech Marketplace, a veritable playground filled with awesome deals on some pretty sweet machines. And the latest apple of our proverbial eye is this wicked Procharged C6 Corvette.

The ‘Vette is current owned by longtime forum member g8gtfromtexas, which helps instill a little confidence that it’s been done right. And clearly, he spent a pretty penny on this car in all the right places. By that we mean under the hood, where a reported $11,000 went into making the Corvette into what is essentially a track-ready hero. Late Model Engines in Houston, Texas handled the build, and it’s full of quality parts to say the least.

The team started with an LY6 iron block. They then stroked it out to 402 cubic-inches with a Callies Compstar 4340 forged crank. Callies Compstar 4340 6.125-inch H-beam connecting rods and Clevite CB 663 H-rods help keep it all together. Cam Motion provided the custom ground camshaft, which works in unison with ported LS3 heads to make prodigious amounts of power.

The real moneymaker of this combo is, of course, a Procharger D1SC. It’s also equipped with a DP Big Mouth Kit and 3.55-inch, eight-rib pulley. With meth injection and 1200cc injectors pushing E85 through it, the small block produces a reported 800+ horsepower. Even better, you get to bang your own gears while working the McLeod RXT clutch with your left foot.

And that’s just scratching the surface of this incredibly extensive build, honestly. You’ll want to head over here and check out the entire list of upgrades that make this Corvette a real menace. For the asking price of $28,500, it would prove quite difficult to replicate this combo. Even better, it sits relatively unused at the moment. So if you’re looking for a deal on a fast car, this one’s certainly worth taking a closer look at!
