Friend of mine has been in the low 1.4 range many times with his 3:73 rear(Girdle, welded tubes and the works). A4 3500 stall..........Vortech SC with a 75 shot off the line.........................He went ahead and got a 12 bolt though.............10 bolt never did break

I have been in the low 1.5 range about 10 times with a 100 shot about 15 feet out of the hole.

I have gone 1.40 as a best at Atco in November of '04 (I guess that slides me to the top of the heap here). I had multiple 1.42's that day as well. 4.10's stock 10 bolt car went a best that day of a 10.66@125. Dont get me wrong the ring and pinion started howling like a **** after that track day. This fall in the good air I WILL go 1.3's I have a new ring and pinionto install (4.10 again) this time I cryoed and Mikronited them. The set in there now survived the bombings so this new set "should" do just fine.

Does it really count with an aftermarket gear though? Hooks' was with completely stock all the way down to the studs. GM ring pinion, posi, axles, bearings etc.

Mine has had a 1.54 60 ft. with a 3.73 gear from a 4 cyl S-10. I run MT ET streets & nitrous. I leave about 4000-4500 rpm on nitrous. Oh yea, my car is a full weight M6 car. I have been running this set up for about 2 years now. The car runs 6.80's @ 101-102 in the 1/8.

I went 1.45 on motor 2 weeks ago. Been through 6-7 10 bolts most blew after a good dry hop! If it will hook solid it will hold up but the gears will howl like hell.

Again, the 'ol T56 has claimed my rearend without even visiting the track or a challenging stoplight. As I recall, I was showing my buds how amazing the LS1 was with a LM catback, a lid, and a Vinci Tuner is when I went to burn em....and the tcs button was still on.... 5000 dump...near stall.... button goes off.... same deal and actualy spin the tires...next day flat tire in my driveway...change over to my new ZR1 wheels...howling rear end... And so its been for maybe 20k miles, lol. Maybe one day I can give a 60ft to this page, but I've been in limp 3.42 mode for quite some time...debating on weather or not to just rebuild and 4.10 my stock rear, or hold off for a 12 bolt or 9".

wow i am very glad to hear of so many low 60's with pretty much stock 10's since i am an A4 i may just hold off on that 12 bolt until i HAVE to have it maybe put that 2500 bucks into something to help me break the 10 bolt...of course then i would have no money for the 12 bolt....hmmmmm paradox of horsepower
