Possible to run 10's on Nittos
I have a Camaro SS with heads,MS3 cam, 3800 stall,12-bolt with 3.73s on a 150 hp+ plate kit. I have upgraded suspension under the car. Car is full weight and the tires are nitto 315/35-17. Any thoughts.

Car is not stock suspension. I have boxed lca's, lca relocation brackets, spohn 1inch chomemoly sway-bar, UMI adjustable torque-arm, Hotchkis adjustable panhard bar, and subframe connectors

I cant see it.You are full weight with nittos.Heck I had those same tires same size and everything when my car was bolton(285 rwhp) and I blew the tires off evey time they just cant hold power.Get a set of drag rims and et drags and just swap at the track

the way i see it a bunch of people think you have to have a wide tire to get traction, that is the biggest misconception!
NITTOs @ 20-24 psi

Most definately! Back in Nov '04 I ran my previous car which was cam only(225/225) with a 100 dry shot, 3500 stall with all stock suspension to an 11.20 @120.xx on Nittos. The 60ft was 1.64.
You have suspension mods, a bigger cam, heads, more gear, more verter, and more juice, I don't see how you wouldn't run well into the 10s. Good luck!

Well my buddy had some new M/T 315/35-17's sitting at his work, he was going to put them on his car but I talked him out of them. So I should hopefully hook with them.

Just play with them, but always use as much pressure as you can while still hooking like you want/expect. I've personally ran the Nittos as low as 16 psi hot at the track. This pass was back in nov of 04, so I honestly don't remember what they were at. Most likely 16-18 hot. I usually brake stalled it as high as I could with the SSF 3500, which was about 2500 or so IIRC, before the tires would start to spin.
I 60fted 1.64 on Nittos in nov, it can be done.
