We offer the Exotic Muscle T56 Bellhousing Safety Blanket for $179.95.

It is the only blanket specifically designed for the T56. Is it as good as a steel bellhousing? No. Does it work? It has to be better than nothing at all.

They'll help protect your feet/legs from a clutch explosion.

They won't protect your block & trans from getting cracked if the clutch lets go.

They tend to collect oil/dirt and can be a fire hazard if you don't
keep and eye on them and periodically check/clean them.

If you've got the extra money, a steel bellhousing is a much better alternative IMO. As Mike said, the steel bellhousing also will protect the engine block (alteast the Mcleod does, I'm not familiar with others).

Neither one is a real picnic to install, the blanket is tough to get into place like it should be with the straps because of the steep slope of the belhousing. The steel belhousing usually requires modification to work with your headers, and on the earlier LS1's you actually have to swap the rear cover plate to a newer style which is thinner...

Does the quicktime come with a plate to protect the back of the engine block? Just curious...I've never had the opportunity to install one yet.
