I ran 11.97 with 325hp.

How are y'all getting into the low 11s with sub 400hp and full weight?!? I cut mid 1.6s

I was cutting 1.50-1.52 short times barely spinning running consistent 7.3@94mph. That was at 370rwhp 2200ish DA.
I added x pipe with 1chambers which dropped some weight, chrs1313 RAM air which added no dyno HP, better tune. hopefully that combined with a dead hook 1.48 and good air will net me some 7.0x @ 96mph.. which would be bottom 11s, scraping 10.xx.

Most setups have to be in the 1.4x 60' to hit bottom 11s/high 10s. Although, all Dynos are different.

I have raced VERY good da here in south Texas. Are you using a brake to get those 60s? Or is your suspension just dialed in?

I still need front shocks and a drag bar, I was spinning before so it obviously could have been better. That with a better DA, there Is a decent amount left In it.
Im just on foot brake. Absolutely nothing special about my setup, DA, raceweight, etc. 226/228 .588 114 cam hand ported milled 317s ls6 intake full exhaust lid 373s... raceweight 3450 with oeo stars and 1/8 tank gas.

Good sixty in my setup=ptc 4000 converter.

Buddy with bone stock suspension, 4000 ptc full exhaust and lid, ls1 intake 273s full weight 98 trans am..1.60-1.65 short times 2400 DA.

what kind of str do you have on that converter? i should be hitting the track with my new setup in a few weeks. Im looking for mid 11s on motor and high 10s on the hose. I still have stock torque arm and stock front suspension.

I was told it has been low 12's at 116 or 118 with bad 60ft. I'm gonna get to the track not this wednesday but next wednesday. My goal is to roll into the 60ft easy and hope there's enough motor here to get a 11.99 pass. I have broken way to many 10 bolts to go nuts with it. If I like the car and it performs well I will probably spring for a 12 bolt, a NOS kit and a set of Patriot heads.... in that order.
I have a very similar setup (still stock injectors and maf) and i've gone 12.2 @ 114 on 1.9 60' in 2200ft DA. I think you're good for 11's

Ptc doesn't really give their converters an STR. I would put it in the ballpark of a 2.4-2.5. It hits very hard.

i foresee a bent torque arm in your future.

i bent the one on my car with boltons.. i guess a hard hook and 3700lbs will do that hahaha. funny thing is the car went 1.60 still spinning.

11s with 400whp and a t56/10 bolt will be tricky. i know it can be done, but it is def not the norm. any updates?

A local guy (he's on here) almost got into the 11s with much less than that. He had some gears, suspension, big converter, a 12 bolt and some DRs and ran like 12.0x I think. Only performance mod was a magnaflow muffler.

With a 6 speed, it's all about getting off the line well and without breaking the 10 bolt. You have more than enough power, but it will come down to driver skill and traction.

Its def tricky to say the least!!! I have 423 rwhp t56 and a stock 10 bolt its not fun knowing you can blow the rear end with no effort! I am going to just hammer it next time and see if i can pull a high 11!!! So far 12.5 1.99 60 ft so with a better 60 it will be close these damn auto cars have it easy!!!!!!!!!

If you feather it out of the hole you will most likely run in the 12.05 to 12.20 range unless you have a decent sixty foot.

I raced a 6speed camaro with 500 hp and had a stock rearend twice. It ran a 12.01 and 12.20 based on my memory. It can be done but you will have to a decent sixty foot.

The big thing is the weight, I have 487 rwhp and 500 rwtq and the best it run was a 12.70 and that was on a good night

Update 5/29

I should have asked if I can get into the 12's , lol

I never accounted for my lack of 6 speed experience. I have been in the 10's on Automatics.

1st run I couldn't hear the motor over the pro stock car in lane 2. I was trying real hard not to break anything first run.

13.20 @ 114 with 2.5 60ft. I was in and out of it and shifting like grandmom

2nd run was a big mess. Not worth posting times. It was very amateur driving to say the least

3rd run was a decent 1.8 60ft and 7.90 to the 1/8. The car was moving. I went to shift into 4th and the clutch issue i'm having wouldn't allow the car to go into gear. IT just wasn't there so I had to abort.
It ended up with a 12.60 @ 93.

I'm not to dissapointed. I know 7.90 1/8 may be an 11 seconed run so i'll try back again next week.

Sorry to hear about the bad luck! My guess the 7.90 run would have been somewhere around 12.30's! What was the MPH in the 1/8 and the ET at the 1,000 foot mark?

Hope you get everything fixed so you can have fun on the next outing!!

i think that 7.90 run could've been an 11.99...depending on how well you got 4th. my bolt-on automagic car would run 12.30s with a low 7.9 1/8 with only 108 mph. i'd like to think your car would flat run away on the top half.

practice practice practice. 6 speeds are def trickier to drive. i went from a stalled auto to an m6 and with more mph i'm still over a second behind the auto car haha.

After thinking it over for a while I also realized something else that would have made a big difference. I know the car pulls to 7k no problem so thats where I was shifting. Problem is that the rev limiter is at like 7050. So I kept bumping into it which was slowing the shifts way down. I'm gonna aim for a shift point of 6800 so it will all go down before the rev limiter. I think that will help get the car down the track.
