That is what we run on both cars with Weld RTS. Yank converter ,TSP headers ,Hooker Aerochamber and wheels that is it. This car 60' 1.541 yesterday. You can make all the power you want but it has to make it to the ground.

Killer 60 ft. any videos of these runs? Sounds like it's pulling the front end off the ground

How would that react with a stock converter? I just got my car and don't want to snap and axle or worse, something in the rear end. A high stall right off the bat might do that ( in my mind at least ).

About 175 plus, probably closer to 200 now ,passes on stock 10 bolt.Wife put 9 on it yesterday,She made it to the finals in Modern Muscle class. Nothing worse than getting beat by a car with pink numbers on it.HaHA. I forgot the car also has 3:73 gears. Tires are a must and then converter.
If I can keep everything in tact for this season, I'd be happy lol. Haven't launched a RWD car since 2011 ( AWD since then ) but willing to give it some seat time. I fully agree about setting up the tires correctly for traction before going full on with power right off the bat ( something I have been very guilty of before)
Pink numbers FTW! Congrats on making it to the Finals as well!

Go to Island Dragway website. Click on photos then click on Jans photography. Look at the picture from 8 /1 National Dragster Challenge. Page 1 has a pic of the car launching. Silver Z28 with pink numbers as this is my wife's car. My car is black z28 white numbers page 2 which has been 11.46 cam only.

Nice run for sure. I tried to set up my car to run 11.50 at 125 as that is the limit in our ET bracket. You should come to Island on Saturdays, we are there every weekend. There is a really good group that race in Street .Lots of 11.50 cars that are full race cars with DOT tires and mufflers.

yeah, that was his first drag race ever! haven't raced at the Island this year as we have been bracket racing at Numidia Raceway. I miss the Island as there's a lot of nice people there. the track employees help my son the first couple of runs. he has run a best time on 11.20 and the car is full weight with a/c. car can crack the 10's with a little work, but has no cage as I don't want to install one as its a true SS with 60k! maybe see you there next year?

very good times from both your car and your wifes. I to have a bolt on car ive been running for about 2 1/2 years now and every time out it gets faster and faster. currently sitting at 11.76 @113 with a 1.57 60. do you have any front suspension on either of the cars?
#58
Your wife car has full stock suspension or just the ta? If she's still on stock everything that makes the times even better as that's awesome on completely stock suspension with just a tire. Wow.

Which thread did I say it was running lean? Car does have a wideband and runs 12.8 wot. The car made at least 100 plus passes this year with a best of 11.831 but the stock 10 bolt finally gave in November.
