Sorry my mistake, I misread your post in the MAF thread you started a while back.

Nice runs bro!

Oh, did you have to adjust the tune at all after installing the new MAF? Reason I ask is I'm wondering if the new style MAFs are increasing performance over the old style ones.

No change to the tune what so ever. I would love to tell you I did some magic to the tune and made it run so good but I can not. The maf went bad and we replaced it and the car went into the 11s. Previous best was 12.2. I am just giving you my results.

3.73 switching to 3.89 in the 9". We are sure to lose some ET with the new rear as it is massive, but you won't see me posting pics of destroyed pinion gears anymore.

You still running a 26" tire at the track? I have 3.70s with a 26 and I'm shifting into 4th a good bit before the 1/4. You definitely will be with 3.89's

Are you stick shift? We use 4l60 and never go to od. My other car runs 26 in tire and 3.89 with a 9 in, and traps around 6500. Now I just switched that car to a TH 350 and 8 in converter and on our last track day I ran a 26 in tire and a 27.8 in tire back to back and went .08 slower with the bigger tire but the car is trapping close to 6700 now. I will switch that car to a bigger tire to slow it down some.

No I have a 4l80 in my car. I shift out at 6k on my shifts. I am in OD before I got thru the traps. That's with the 26x10.5 mt pro bracket radial and 3.70 gears

You are spinning stock rod bolts with a bolt on car to 6500-6700????

As long as you have a good intake and exhaust you can spin a stock cammed ls1 to 6400+

That's a first to me. I do not want to spin that high. I just don't see a stock cam pulling much past 6000-6200. Ever start wondering about valve float and such?

Ya but "hypithetically" if taking it to 6400/6500 instead of 5800/6000 and u drop little hp from peak when the shift haappenes ur at higher rpm thus a higher point in the hp curve which might benefit you/ur setup/times

Exactly. If you don't shift past peak HP then it will never fall back into the powerband on each shift point causing you to run a slower time.

The commanded shift in my car is at 6000 but by time it makes the shift the car is around 6300 /6400.If your converter is right you should have no more than 1000 drop in rpm in your 2/3 shift. This is with a 4l60.
