Default Getting closer

Getting closer. 12.2 @ 117 with a 2.00 60'.

I suck at launching. race weight of 3550 with me in it. I should have it within the next two weeks when the temps get lower.

you're damn close Dave.. that mph is plenty to run 11's Best I ever got out of my car with the cam only setup was 12.2@114 witha 1.7x 60 foot, your mph should get ya to 11.7 I'd think no problem.

I need to get back to a track myself soon and get out of the 11 sec club lol..... I got 65 lbs out of the car from last sunday already, and there's a good chance that even more will come out if I'm not gonna go in the next week.

Yep, you're a 1.90 away from an 11 second pass...1.80 for some breathing room...I used to run 11.70s at that mph with 1.70 60's...Good luck...

Car is an M6, I really need to work on the launch. There is a video in the easter section of my runs. I'm sure JL has seen it.

Thing is Dave, you start really trying to launch the car had, and the 10 bolt will show it's ugly head real quick, especially with the 4.10's in it. Honestly, your car is probably a 12 bolt, good tire and a hard 5500 launch away from a 11.7 pass. I've seen the video, and the car pulls good once you're out about 100 feet... same problem I had when I had the stick in my car.. I'd either blow the tires off or bog it, never really could find a happy meduim.

Ya might get away doing that hard launch with the 10 bolt a couple times, but I think we both know alot more people that have broken 10 bolts with the 6 speed then not once they are at the speed range you car can run.

I saw a 12 bolt for sale in the parts for sale section for like 1600 I think, it's got a spool and I don't think any abs/tcs stuff, but you have all that in your 10 bolt and could put it on... might be worth looking at.

I'd at least put that on your winter list for the offseason... that, a heavy duty driveshaft, and a tq arm, or at least the BMR crossmember, so you can get the tq arm off the tranny tailshaft. Get that stuff done, maybe with a slightly steeper gear, like a 4.30, and you probably should plan for a rollbar too while you're at it. 11.49 will only be a little weight reduction, or a little more power away.

I'm thinking about some corbeau cr1 seats and a Chrome-Moly 6pt cage. Plus heads, rearend etc., All about the $ though.
