well ive been to the track a few times now with the new setup which is a set of long tubes,ory,no cats,ms3 cam,4.10 gears,ported maf and tb and a tune the car is a 02 z28. i have a set of 315 nitto drags on it for traction. the best i can get out of the car is a 12.5 @113 with a 1.8 60ft. ive seen many cars on here with about the same setup running in the 11's so what do u think is keeping me from that time? i want to be in the 11's before i put a set of heads and spray on the car so any help would be great. thanks guys

Do you have any suspension. Most cam only guys have lcas, tq arms, panhard rod,etc. Those nittos might be holding you back as well. Are you m6/auto?

i guess i did leave some info out. as for suspension i have a set of eibach sportlines with stock shocks and thats all. the car is a m6. i know i need to get some supporting suspension mods but waiting on my other tax check to get here. i want to switch over to some m/t but want to burn these tires up first.

At the least get some lca relocation brackets if u don't have them, a panhard rod to center those tires and get rid of those shitty stock decarbons. Good luck with that 11 second slip.

Those are usually the stock rear shocks. You have them if they are orange colored.

judging my the trap speed(113) there is 3 things that could be wrong...

1. you are at a high elevevation and have bad DA'
2. you have a problem in the tune or car
3. you need the driver mod...

im gonna go with the driver mod and weather... you have to shift these 6 speeds hard to get good numbers out of them... and good weather always plays a huge factor as well

i trapped and went 12.50 at 114 with only a 2.0 sixty foot in a bolt on car FWIW

the few times i have raced the car it has been kinda cool outside. i live in indiana so i dont think the elevation is a problem. the guy i had tune my car has tuned many other cars and all with pretty good results but not saying it cant be improved. as for the driver mod i believe that im driving the **** out of the car but im sure i still have more to learn.

when you shift are u stayin on the gas or granny shifting.If you want then times your going to have to drive it like u stole it(POWER SHIFT) gas pedal neva comes up. i ran 12.5 with ms4 no traction no tune on nittos. thats when i grenaded my 1st rear end lol

get rid of those nittos save them for the street...you need a real drag radial get some MTs...i was pulling 1.87 with street tires with just a lid and FTRA...

on just SFC and rear LCAs i pulled 1.54 60ft when i was stock internal...but that was with MT drag radials...
