Finally in the 12's
I swapped in a motor in my car about a year ago and upgraded the clutch as well. the motor has the CC501 cam (218/224), Crane gold roller rockers, BBK 25% underdrive pullies, BBK 52mm Throttle body, Ram air hood & box, Mac Mid Headders, and a 75 shot of nitrous. First time on the track was in april of 09. First pass I ran a 12.5 @ 113 with a 2.0 60'. second and third pass out I ran 12.3 @ 114 with 1.9 60's. I went back in may with the same set-up. Ran 12.2 @ 114 with 1.7 60's chirping the tires to the 60' all night. On the burnout on pass 4 I blew the clutch. evedently I overloaded the clutch on torque. By the way I was launching the car at 3200 all passes out.
The track officials gave me hell because my License plate was so close to the ground so I bent it up and they cleared me.
Since then I have upgraded the clutch to a spec 3+, upped the nitrous to a 150, added a 3 step module, 70 30 drag shocks out back, 90 10 drag shocks up front, and I'm now running on 26x11.50 15's on 15x10 prostars instead of 275/45R17 drag radials. I'm hoping with a good track prep and hoping that the rearend stays together I'll run low 11's and possibly picking up the front tires.
I forgot to add that I'm running on stock 3.42 gears with a detroit locker and stock axles. I'm in the process of rebuilding my rearend due to the ring gear bolts backing out. I'm using the same gears with ARP ring gear bolts, and a trick flow girdle with ARP cover bolts.
I'll post up the videos of my first passes at the track in april. I know I made a lot of mistakes and I was very nervous being on the track again. The Mustang i raced had heads, cam, Intake, s/c making 400 HP. I did the building on the mustang since he was a buddy of mine. he has gt40x heads, E303 Cam, Cobra upper and lower intake, Powerdyne supercharger, longtube headders, 3.73 gears and was running on 26x10 ET Drags.

Bump. Just finished rebuilding my 10 bolt. Installed the ARP Ring Gear bolts, shimed the gears again, and installed the TrickFlow Girdle. I'll upload a pic right now.
