Default Mickey Thompsons Drag Radials?

Im in the market for drag radials. I heard that Nitto Extremes can be driven in the rain.

Im also interested in the Mickey Thompson ET Street drag radials and im wondering if these also can be driven in the rain.

Thanks in advance for your reply's

I've driven 295/45r17 Mickey's in the rain. You just have to take it easy. In a really really bad downpour I had to slow to 35mph, but I am still here and the car is fine.

It's not a good idea to drive either of them in the rain, but if I had to choose one it would be the nittos for everyday driving. However, they wont hook near as good as the ET Streets.

I try not to drive my car in the rain, but have to test my Mickey Thompsons. I put some brand new ones on and drove it to work. I drove 'normal' and around turns I didnt really slow down and gave it a little gas and they didnt lose traction. Ive driven with them bald too... Youll have to know how to countersteer then!

I know its probley not the best of idea's but my buddy drives his 10 second truck on the streets all the time and I know has encountered rain several times, have never heard him complain. He is running the ET radials.

I've driven slicks in the rain. It can be done but depending on the speed and level of rain you may need a new pair of shorts afterwards. In my opinion I'd rather have the Nitto's than the MT DR's in the rain. For the track and hooking in dry weather I think the MT's are superior. If it's a daily driver then I'd say don't chance it. At my current level of power the MT's are the only tire that has a chance of hooking on the street but if the weather looks threatening at all I don't drive the car.

can be done but iffy for sure... my brother and I almost put his mustang into the wall on the freeway just doin 60 and takin it easy. but then again a buddy was takin his 86 camaro in the snow with radials haha... Mickeys perform better at the track over any other DR BY FAR!

I have been caught in the rain with my M/T's. Just have to be very careful and not go over 50 or so. If it looks like rain I don't drive it. Mine's not a DD and I leave them on all summer but switch in the winter.

I would go with nittos. I have a pair and had to drive in the snow. they work pretty good just drive slow. so If I can drive it on snow and it was quiet a bit then the rain should be no problem.

if youre gonna drive on the drag radials constantly, I would go with the Nittos. If youre just using them for the track, The ET's are the way to go. they stick alot better and dont take too much time to heat up. (my 2 cents)
