Hit up the track today in my 01 SS. All stock except for a street tune done by Creech, a LM2 cat-back, and a lid. I home ported the TB fwiw. First pass straight off the road after a 1 hour drive was 12.77 at 109.5. I was happy cause I knew all I needed to do was let the car sit for 45 mins-1 hour, then re-run for a better ET. Second run was a 12.61 at 110.2 with an 8.1 at 88.5 mph 1/8th. The 60' was 1.94. I am very proud of the 'ol automatic LS1. The car is 10 years old, but only has 13,500 miles on it, so the everything is still pretty fresh. Took place today at Fayetteville Motorsports Park.

Appreciate it fellas! I'm hoping a stall and LTs will get me that 11.9999 slip, lol.

It can easily be done! I tuned a buddies ride on here (tan327), and with bolt ons, stall and 2.73's he ran a 12.04.

That's what I like to hear! Is he pretty consistent at 12.0x year round? I was running in DA near sea level today is the reason I ask.

What are you guys doing to the tune to make them go so fast? I went 12.9 with 3.73, draglites with skinnys and 275s, Lts, catback, and kandn fipk.

I have hp tuners, I took 50% out of tq management and added 2* of timing and it picked up a tiny bit.

Share some secrets haha

I didn't tune it, (Jeff Creech in Durham did) but what I do know is the TM was turned back 50%, shifts bumped way up under WOT only, and timing increased much more than just 2 degrees. I'm pretty sure he took it from 18 to 24-25 degrees, added fuel where it was needed, etc, and its been good ever since. He tuned it on a really hot day, but I haven't had any pinging or anything.

Proper fueling whether it need to be leaner or richer is key. e10 will also like a bit more timing than straight up gas.

Oh and he is consistant but he hasn't had a year round run with it. Just kinda got everything together and lined out. Car was full weight too

Great times! You'll easily see 11's, my car is pretty much there with the same mods you're wanting and I'm at +2000 DA & spinning a bit each pass. I think mine has 11.89 in it dead hooking, and you can probably run quicker than that at sea level.
