Final Run of the year. DA was around 600.
12.38@109.8mph
60' was a 1.71
Byron Dragway.
Mods: Yank SS3600, flexplate, LPP Headers and Y, CAI, LID, MF catback, UMI LCA+PHB, 3.42s, PPTB, basic speedinc tune, 275 Nitto DR's. Koni 4/4s and Strano Springs.
Car was a half quart low on fluid for the first few runs of the day and was missing shifts, I put a half in and it did this run, so any of you finding out your car isn't shifting make absolutely sure that level is correct.
I tried a bunch of different launch techniques, brake torqueing from 1000rpm, and 2300rpm but none of them really helped. My best run came from just stomping the gas as you can see. I don't think this car is going to get much faster the way it is right now, and it gets too cold and rainy up here when DA is lower than 600.
Theres no proof the car ran what it did cause the video doesnt zoom but trust me it's not too unordinary of a time. Just thought I'd share what these cars do with these mods and conditions.

it wasnt noticable at lower speeds. Even a highway pull would allow the car to shift a 1/2 quart low. It wasn't until I got to the track that I noticed it wasn't shifting. This has happened to me before where the fluid was low, I've had it changed like 6 times in the past year(tranny cooler mishaps...). Anyway, it just would bounce off the limited when approaching the next gear rather than shifting, it'd bounce 1-2 times into first then a lot in the 2-3. It's been tuned for the gears and stall, so it wasnt that. After I added it went away.
You'd only notice it when at WOT if u had the same problem as me, I don't know what your issue is though sorry. Unless your like 3-4 quarts low or something.

That's exactly the problem I am having. It's only at WOT and right around the rev limiter of the 2nd to 3rd shift. Good to know how you were able to fix your problem.
Just curious what was your improvement on your track time once fixing the issue?

Awesome run man! Brake torquing isn't the best method, IMHO. Stomping it from idle or flashing the stall is best. When you brake torque, whatever RPM you are sitting at when you release the brake is the RPM you're going to leave at. Flashing the stall by stomping it from idle is about the only way to get close to your stall speed. I hold the brake to the floor, mash the throttle, and don't let go of the brake until the throttle actually makes contact with the floorboard. Works really well.
Congrats again man, I hope to make it into the low 12s with LTs before it gets to cold as well.

After I added a 1/4 quart it bounced off the limiter once per shift and the car ran a 12.5.
Added another 1/4 quart and it did a 12.4 making all the shifts perfectly with a 1.7X 60'
then DA went down because it was getting late and the car did a 12.3 again with no shift problems.
I can't tell you if thats the same problem you're having but it could be if all other options are out.
