I hear ya on the money thing lol. 4.10s will help but idk if i would go there over the 3.90s because there really wont be too much of a difference. and its not a cheap mod 200 for gears +400 for install and bearings.
why not pick up a set of stock SS wheels? theyre cheap as hell and put a set of tires on them and go hit the track I think you would net some good gains. My arh wheels which weigh about the same as TTII's weighed 60lbs each out back with tires and the front were like 53. Stock is around 45 for all 4. thats a lot of WEIGHT lol. My mag wheels now weigh the same or slightly less than stock but I run 275's up front now and 295's out back.
I'm gonna swap out my k member in a couple weeks. I have it in my sig but its still sitting in my garage lmao then I need to look at rockers or at least upgrade the stockers

You picked up 4+ mph in worse DA. The car definitely picked up 5 mph from your new intake tract the weather just wasn't in your favor. Lighter wheels would net you some mph too. You can sell those torque thrusts for good $$$ since everyone likes them. I don't see LCAs in your sig, they are a cheap mod to get a better ET as well. Keep chipping away and you'll get an 11 for sure.

Scott. I hope you are running a drag radial. Nitto 555R's are drag radials, I believe the 555 is a street tire.
If so you can't expect much with that tire.
You can use a nitto drag radial as an effective street tire.
And on the strip the nitto drag radial needs a bigger burnout then most.
I've run a nitto555r2(road race tire) on the strip a few times and it was difficult to get to hook and I have alot of experience on the strip. And it took a full burnout and 14psi for me to get any type of traction. So you need a drag radial at least. Mt et streets and skinnies would be even better for you if you could swing it and we'd get you in the 1.6x's rather easily but we can help you with whatever you go with. 11's are attainable, I just wouldn't run a street tire on the strip unless just for fun.

cant go wrong the mt streets. and ya the snowflakes i think are actually about the same weight as a 17 ss wheel because they have more material in the spokes. either one would be fine the snow flakes are probably cheaper, I just said 17 ss wheels because snow flakes are ugly as sin lol
the 16" vs 17" would allow for more sidewall and more traction though
also Idk if anyone has said it but in 2000 da your times correct to 12.12@ 118.5 @ seal level and 12.20@118 at 500 da. so you actually picked up about 7mph which isnt bad at all. I hate using calculators but you cant look at 2000 da to 500 da and compare mph and times.

With the Nitto DR you need a full burnout with plenty of smoke. I'd start them around 18psi and do a full burnout. That should get you consistently in the 1.7x's and better on most any track on the stock suspension.
Ideally you want a bias ply MT et street in 16 or 17" and skinnies. We can get any tire to work to get you into the 11's. The most important thing is seat time.

Some of the MT ET street R radials are made of R2 (same compound as pro) and some are M5 so you can expect similar wear characteristics. Those would hook great. Just don't get ones that are too wide and stick with 26" tires.

Your car definitely has some solid 11's in it, and looks damn good, so I wouldn't be too disappointed.
Are you running the Nitto 555R drag radials, or the 555 street tires? If you're running the DR's, I think the light burnouts are really hurting you, those tires ideally need a nice 6-8 second burnout in second gear to get them to hook.

Sorry, 1st gear is where you want to be for your burnout, somehow it slipped my mind that your car is a 6 speed when I posted that
Also, just curious, do you have any weight reduction done? That is a really nice trap speed for a stock heads convertible!
