Default 12's on street tires

fella's the best i ever went on street tires (kuhmo ecsta 245/50zr16) with a heads and cam car (lt1) and 12 lbs of air was a 12.401 @108.95 and a 60 ft time on 1.56. the next 2 passes were low 12.5's and low 1.6 60 fts. the next weekend i cam out a little harder cause the track was hookin' alot better and POW i crapped out a 10 bolt!!!!!!!!!!! 12's can be accomplished on street tires.

I ran a 12.7 @109 last year on 275/40/17 Ventus tires. They came on the car when i bought it, and I have never heard of them. If I can run 12's on them, anything is possible. And that was with a 2.1 60ft.

Well I use to be able to run 12.5@ 114 on street tires w/ basic bolt ons but those days are over.. Maybe I can break 12's again when I figure out how to launch with the stall.

I must drive like ****. First time at the track lastnight and got in 3 runs. My best for the night was 13.3 @ 110 with a 2.2 60'. I'm on some bald *** Falkens, but i think I still should have done better. What's everyone dumping off the clutch at?

That's awesome but I believe the poster meant regular street tires other than drag radials or DOT approved drag tires such as ET Streets, ET street radials, BFG drag radials or Nitto drag radials.

im going to need a mods list (like what made it capable of that ,. suspension wise) and maybe even a video before i consider that true.

I know, my car has those, i just thought i would add the second part. The radials are real street tires. I drive it everyday on the street, I dont know why they aren;t considered realstreet tires. They are DOT approved, so according to the Department of Transportation they are real street tires.

I ran a best of 12.6 @ 115.5mph with a 2.2 60' with street tires, and a fu*cked clutch. That was my first time to the track. I have not been back yet with my new clutch.
