Default 12's......whoooohoooo

friday november 18th, i made my way down to Houston Raceway Park...i dont know the exact track conditions but it was pretty chilly

my mods are as follows:
  • hooker long tube headers
  • K&N FIPK2 intake
  • 160 degree powerstat
  • ported throttle body
  • borla catback
  • hooker 3 inch off road y pipe
  • spohn adj. torque arm with ds safety loop
  • bilstein shocks and struts
  • 1 1/4 drop springs
  • hotchkis adj. panhard rod
  • hypertech power programmer
  • 3.42 gears
  • NGK V-power spark plugs
  • MSD 8.5 plug wires

and here is my best run of the night, which occurred at 7:05 PM
R/T: .199
60': 1.947
330: 5.534
1/8: 8.389
MPH: 86.41
1000: 10.865
1/4: 12.946
MPH: 108.00

i know i barely made it into the 12's, but I think i may have had a misfire while running at the track....hope this is good enough!

Congrats. That is a good time considering you have stock converter. With a 3600 stall, shift kit, tires and a cam you should easily see 11's. :yup:

BTW, get HP Tuners instead of Edit. It's a much better program, imho, and they have excellent support. Good luck.

thats the whole plan....first i gotta get my misfire situated, then its a Yank 3600 stall, install the transgo shift kit thats been sitting in my closet for 3 months, and then a 224/224 cam along with HP tuners i guess...im really not familiar with the program though

Default weight

Depends on if you have a daily driver or a weekend warrior, but you can take out passenger seat ~34lb. rear sail panels and all floor mats about 8-9lbs, spare tire and jack 35lbs, front sway bay 12-14lbs, skinnies on the front 40lb of rotational weight so more like ~60 lbs standard. Empty out wiper fluid (full about 7-8lbs) Back seat and seat belt brackets not sure of weight on those, light weight battery saves ~30lbs ($80) but that should get you around 190 pounds lighter and about .2 tenths faster.

yeah well mines a true daily driver(300+ miles/week) so im thinking im gonna go ahead and empty out the wiper fluid(damn thing clogs up on the passenger side all the time anyways.....whats the easiest way to empty it? syphon it out?) and the back seats are more than likely gonna go as well

If you can, try to see how much the car weighs with you in it at the track.
