I want to be a 12 sec z got a 1999 z28 M6. So far I have slp airlid, smooth bellow, SLP CAI, k&n, 4.10 gears, magnaflow cat back exhaust. Anyone have any idea how close I am to being a 12 sec car or even what i would be sitting at HP wise, and can anyone offer their thoughts on headers as well? I want to go for either SLP or MAC headers same with the y pipe.

get some other bolt ons before the headers, you are allready a 12 sec car but it is going to be hard to achieve without traction. ie 4.10's, stick and street tires. i would get a ported tb, $75, then a pulley about 125 used, ls6 intake is a must for stock internals, am am willing to bet that a ls6 intake will give you more than the headers will. If your mind is dead set on some headers QTP has a nice set of stainless steel high velocity collector headers out for about $700ish, much better than slp or mac. i would look into those if you really want headers, to maximize results with the headers though you will need a tune, which is more cash. enjoy

like chris1313 said do some other small bolt ons before the headers but by the looks of it if you know how to drive your car you should be able to hit 12s easily. you also might want to get a set of some good drag radials that way you have some type of traction.
