Default My first 12 sec. pass!



I did my first pass in this car and ran 12.52 then did my second pass and ran a 12.443. it was a good night and had preety good traction. no slipping at all. 275/40zr17 slp option ws6 trans am long tube ceramic coated headers. no cats. 3 in exhaust all the way back to hooker exhaust. rebuilt tranny with 2500 tci stall converter, transgo shift kit, overhaul kit, and a massive trans cooler. thats about all of my mods.

also since im on street tires is 1.88 considered alright for a 60'?.. should i start getting worried about my rear end?

For street tires that's considered exceptional. I was never able to dead hook on any kind of street tires.

No. The autos can get away with a lot more then what you're throwing at it. My 1.6x 60's are nothing on the stock 10 bolt because we autos can preload the drivetrain. I've seen lots of 10 and 11 second guys run 1.5 60's through the 10 bolt in autos. M6's are another story.

Grats on the time and don't sweat the 10 bolt. As long as you're dead hooking then you don't even have a need for drag radials. But if I were to give you any advice it would be to up that stall size and STR. Imagine the ET you could get with your trap speed, a bigger shift extension and 1.6x 60's
