Default So I Really Want 12's

My previous best was 13.6 at the end of last summer. That was mostly stock except for lid and filter and possibly a blown head gasket. Now I have 243 ls2 heads, long tubes, shift kit, wait4meperformance tune, SFC's, Cutout, MT E/T Streets, underdrive pulley, free mods and hopefully by sunday LCA's and relocation brackets. It seems a lot faster but I am not sure if I can trap as high as a lot of 12 second cars I have seen.

I was hoping to find a mid to high 12 second car to race before I went to the track but could only find stuff way faster or slower.

What do you guys think can I run a 12.6?

stall is in the mail.

That is what I wanted to hear. The only reason I am worried is because the car has 157,xxx miles on it and I dont think performs as well as most ls1's.

mine had 147K and runs 12.4's and has gone 12.41 N/A full weight, heavy rims, lowered, ect ect.. I think it could run low low 12's with some weight loss, and skinnys

If the car runs good, it will run the number..

also what gear do you have? no mention of what car you drive so Im guessin 2.73's or maybe 3.23's if your a WS6 or SS.

gears will help with the stall also, and what stall did you go with?

323s came in "regular" t/as and camaros, as well. you should easily run 12s with a 2.0 60'. i'd expect low 12s/high 11s on a good tire and decent size stall (3500+).

^^true, was just saying if he had a ws6 or SS 3.23's are certain. Alot of Standard Z's and T/A Autos got the gas mileage gear 2.73

I agree with with the good stall and High 11's are in sight.

Oh i thought everything about my car was in my sig but its not. It is a 2001 Camaro b4c with 3.23 gears. I went with a little stall, (3000) i figure it is my first stalled car and I will probably want more in the future so I can always get a bigger one, cause I got what is hopefully a good deal.

I am pretty sure I can go faster then 2.0 in the 60 my previous 60 was 2.07 and that was on worn out eagle rsa's and now I have E/T Streets so as long as it doesnt bog to bad I think I can put down a pretty good 60'.

11's after stall would be awesome but I dont think my stall is big enough for that.

It'll be a lil while before I can get the tires and rims put on so I'm trying to get you guys opinion on what mine will run once they do get here.

Mods are in my sig. To be a little more specific, the cam is BRE, Yank SS3600, 30lb SVO's, 3.73's, PCMforLess tune, Mezierre, Walbro 255, 3" duals w/ bullets dumped, !cats, 1 3/4 Jet Hot LT's, alum drive shaft, 52mm TB, MSD 6A & coil, MSD wires, TR55's and all the freebie mods. This should put me deep into the 12's, I'm hopin.

Before all the mods, the car was bone stock except for the BlowMaster, didn't even have a K&N, and went 13.61. Stock wheels and all. So with the skinnies and big stickies on her, maybe with a little weight taken out, is 11's possible? The local track is 12ft above sea level, btw.

Hey, OP: Seafoam it before you go to the track. All those miles are surely leaving something on the table. A seafoaming will definitely help you pick up some lost power because of the carbon buildup that's probably taken place in your motor. If you do that and with those MTs, stall, and other mods, you should hit mid-12s no problem; maybe even low 12s if you get some good air and hook up well.

Went to the track today. New best of 13.17 at 104.42. I really thought that I had 12's in the bag I have a wait4me performance tune and know a guy who has one and when he dynoed it his air fuel was like 15/1. And i am thinking that my tune might suck.

I only went .5 better then my old best.

Anybody have any guesses on what could cause it to go slower or is 13.1 good for my mods?
