Okay so i really want my car to be capable of 12's. I've never ran it at the track before, but here's my recent setup:

98 WS6 T/A - 3.23 gears, SLP air lid, SLP Longtubes, SLP LM1...brand new street tires....think i can hit 12's??

+1..............A guy I know with pretty much the same setup as you except he had the hooker catback ran a best of 12.8 on street tires. So it is possible, depending on where you are located.

why would you run with a TACKLE BOX in the back? Anyway is it the stock Y pipe? I dont even thinks thats possible with lt's. Just dont run with alot of gas cuz its 7 lbs/ Gallon, and a full take is 16.8 * 7 which = alot. If you hook you might have it.

I took my TA to the track last night for the first time. Went 13.1 @ 108 with a 2.0 60'. All I have is a lid and a cutout. If you can hook, you might see 12's. A friend of mine (on this forum actually) went 12.7 in an A4 car with LT's, lid, the free mods, and 2.73's (not a typo, he really had 2.73's).

Take your car to the track!

I think its possible but you need to hook up very good off the line and get a good 60ft or I dont see it happening. The power is there but now its all about the launch

yeah i hope i can make it into the 12's. If not, that will just give me further reason to keep modding haha. But now that it has warmed up a lot and the tracks are open, I am going to head to Maryland International sometime and see what she runs. My tires on the car now are totally bald, but i'm getting a set of new one in a week. That should help me get there i hope...
With the mods i have, how much horsepower do you guys think i may have. (ballpark guess) I haven't dyno'd it yet.

bald tires > new tires. which tire has more contact area? same tread compound throughout. i love to hear people say "i couldn't hook on my worn out, bald drag radials.." haha.

I still say it depends on where you're located and how you hook, and how much the car weights.

When I had stock 2.73 gears, lid, Pacesetter headers my car went 12.7 @ 109.

I added 3.73 gears (but added HEAVY 17x11 ZR1s and lowered the car) and got the time in my signature.

High 12s are definitely possible in your car... get an LS6 intake..it will help a lot also.
