BTW 12.50s is slower then **** IMO. To be fast in this ever changing world you need to have a high 10sec car. IMO

 

well ive had 10 sec. and 9 sec. cars and i now have this car and love it. it still gets 22 mpg and i have a blast in it. i dont want another 9 sec. car. been there done that. im sorry you guys have to put someone elses car down for some reason. ill take my slower than **** turd and drive the wheels off it with a smile on my face all day.

 

Look a 12.50 car is not slow to everyone my car only runs 11.70's so what all that means is you socalled FAST guys will just get to look at me leave on the tree. My car payed for it's self be bracket racing not everyone can afford to have a 10 sec. car. you want to say your car is fast then lets see an 8 sec. N/A car no power adders you do that and then you will have a fast car.

I'm not tryin to come off like an *** and i did not say your car was slow but what do you do for a living that you've had 9 and 10sec 1/4mile cars and now that beautiful ss? i can see some one in their 40's saying that but 24? seriously howd you get them cars & what kind of cars were they?

 

12.5 is not slow, but its slow for the mods you have...you should be in the
11's with that setup.

 

And people will call a high 10's car slow so whats your point? There will always be someone out there faster than you. Race what you have and have fun...

 

most ls1's put down 300+, not freaks. a freak would be throwing down like 340 stock.

I made 300 hp and 302 torque when my 99 was bone stock

 

with a lid longtubes and a 3200 stall and shitty street tires i ran a 12.9 at 108 with a 2.1 sixty. his cammed car should have a higher mph then me correct? and if i had his DR and 60 ft was 1.7 i should have clicked off at least a 12.5 correct? is the cam broken?
edit: my run was in 95 degree heat.

i got it maybe the car was built on a friday and they just slapped it together because everyone was real anxious to get home and drink beer.lol. cause my car with lid, k&n, hypertech and cut-out put down 343rwhp that was on the universal technical institute dyno, the teachers couldn't beleive that ****. guess the old firehawk really is a factory freak.lol.

12.5 is not slow, don't listen to the fucktards. We don't all roll in 9 sec. cars.
105 is reasonable if a little slow, was it hot and muggy where you ran? DA? Mine runs 109-110 in good air, 105-106 in **** air like this time of year here in FLA. I don't have a cam in mine, though.

Your tune IS probably off especially if your verter locks in the quarter, but don't listen to the morons who think a 12 second car is a turd.

 

Everything is relative, when I was lifting I thought my 19 inch arms were small because real bbldrs have 21 inchers. Average dudes did NOT think I was small.

12's may seem slow when you drive it all the time. It is NOT a slow car.

Let me ask this; how many of those 8-mid 10 second rides are daily driven or taken on LONG road trips?? (And YES, I am including the big single, manual Poopras that everyone seems to worship in this question as well, EVEN with the boost turned down for pump gas.)
Do any of them put 4 snow tires on and drive them in the winter on ice???!!

No one here said a mid-12's car was slow. They just said that this particular mid-12's car for the mods it has is pig slow. If you can't see that there is a problem with this car you are out of your mind.
