99 Trans Am Vert runs 12s
On 5-30-08 in Clay CIty, Ky I ran a 12.977 @ 109.044 with a 2.021 60ft... Wish i could have done better with the mods i got... mti clear lid, Pacesetter LT's, SLP Loudmouth 2, 3.73 gear stock tune
i would think you should be quicker, headers plus your free flowing exhaust probably leans out your A/F ratio. get a tune! then / next do you get traction? 3:73's are nice but what kind of tires are you running? i would get for traction SFC,LCA's PANHARD then drag radials and you should fly! just my 2 cents
oh lol... i forgot i had a set of nitto DRs...It hooked pretty hard 4 the stock stall... but still i would have thought i would have been faster then that... i guess its cause its a vert? i dont know. i do need a tune i think that would help the most...
i was hot laping the car hardcore that night... i think i made like 16 passes that night just tring to get into the 12s. out of those 16 i only made it 2 times and none of the 60 feets were under 2.0s
I've hit 1.9s many times with a best of 1.92 on stock stall and 3.23s with street tires. Even with the added weight, with 3.73's and dr's you should be low 1.8s

maybe it could be the track? clay city is know to be a pretty crappy track. when i take street tire there the car is all over the place... and doesnt turn anything better then a 2.2 60 ft
It could very well be the track. Also if you are hot-lapping it too much your performance will suffer greatly. I suggest next time letting the car cool a bit and see if you go any faster.
