Default 12.74 @108 minor bolt-on A4 with video

I swapped the EWP from my CTSV to my WS6 and headed to the track tonight to see if there was any gain.

First off my mods are: 2001 WS6 A4 w/ lid, ram air, ported TB, EWP, catback, torque arm and tune. Raceweight was 3605 lbs. DA was ~400'.

My previous best before the EWP was 12.899 @ 107.13. DA for that run was ~1000' and it was a little heavier due to having more gas.

It wanted to spin a little tonight (which it normal doesn't do), but all my passes were better than my previous best. 12.835 @ 108.24, 12.814 @ 108.35, and my best pass was a 12.74 @ 108.59 (Didn't spin on that run)

Overall, I don't know that the EWP helped too much, since the DA was about 600' better and it was probably 50-60 lbs lighter. But I'll take anything I can get and since I have already had it for a couple of years, I can barely even remember spending all that money for it.

Next mod is a stall. Maybe I'll have some negative DA by then.

Jon

Street tires. They are Cooper Zeons, I had some a mix matched set from when I bought the car that seemed to hook a little better, especially on the street.

Wonder what the EWP gain is? I have most of what you have except a pulley and headers. Getting a tune Tuesday and track on Wed. hopefully. I would love to see a 12.7@108 or so.

i could be mistaken but i believe "stuff" means the rest of the bolt ons. autos really wake up after a converter. full bolt ons, dr's and a re tune = 11s for you

No he's talking about the AFR heads and cam that I had bought for my CTSV. Stall is next along with the FAST 90 off of the CTSV and then headers and maybe a UDP. Should be solid 11s in good weather.

I really don't think the EWP was worth much. Like I said from my previous best 2 weeks before the DA was about 600' better (which on average would be about .06 ET gain) and atleast 50 lbs of gas (roughly another .05 seconds) It would have been low 12.8s or high 12.7s. I only picked up .15 seconds, so. Not really worth it to spend $400-500 on an EWP.

I had the same mods as you except cat back and EWP and got the same 13.2. 12's on just those mods is a ton better than I could do. Still ran .1 faster than a M6 car that was there but he ran 1 MPH faster and we both had the same mods. I hope to see at least a 12.7 now but don't know if I am expecting too much!

Nice times man! Wish my car would wake up and perform better (or myself..)...Mods are in sig and best I got was a 13.1-street tires. But I had the car for 2 weeks and couldn't drive it for ****. Now I have a tune and some other stuff that I didn't have and hope she can break into the 12s. But I also have 2.73s......

Am I the only one who caught that he jumped the gun? It was an impressive run, though!

I told that Cobra guy he better not be sleeping at the tree. We had raced on the way to the track and obvisouly he blew my doors off, but I kept messing with him all night. He had been running in the 11s, but he did a little better on that pass.

Nice runs.

A converter, LT's and some good tires should warrant some low 12s.
