raced a procharged 02 GT (video inside)
My car : 05 cts-v with a cam, headers and related hardware.
made 405whp 369tq
vs
02 mustang GT convert, p1 stage 2 procharger , meth and related bolt ons
made 429whp 422tq
this is BTW a Re-match vid,
This was a good race , my LS6 pulled hard up top , being N/A I seemed to get a jump right away each time after the honk (on top of the fender head start he seemed to give me each time ? hehe )
Then as I was just getting into 4th he was at his peak and caught right back up, even got alittle ahead of me one raced untill I was mid 4th gear and he was pretty much out of power. his 3.90 gears helped but peaked to fast
It was pretty much over then (around 120-130 im guessing)
This was my first WOT pull with my new clutch so I took it easy, granny shifted alittle cause I was nervus. I still need to bleed alittle more since the pedal isnt poping up as fast as it should.

Ya, at 6200 rpms with a stock 2V block boosted wouldn't you shift too?!?!?! I'll be the first to admit the car had nothing left at 130 mph+ with 3.90 rear gears especially with a bone stock clutch at 430whp lol

I should of just let out but I was trying to enjoy the other extra couple miles of straight highway in mexico we had left. At that point I already knew the race was over. I've never really taken the car over 120-130. My mustang cannot hang with the top end of Maxspeeds V. If we could run Maxspeeds V from a dig without shattering the rea rend... I know my car would put about 3 cars on the V by 120 then he would catch up and pass me out. We let the cars stretch their legs a bit that night lol My poor little GT brakes felt like they had oil on the rotors when I finally attempted to slow the car down. Fun night though and every time I see that V run it makes me miss mine more and more

Clutch is broken in. According to Maxspeed he just needs to bleed it one more time. He was having some clutch pressure issue. Pretty soon GTO vs. CTS-V vids. Maybe this week we'll have to see what Dave says

That's what it's all about right there. People get too caught up in the emblems on the outside of a car. What's important is that you're enjoying yourself and that you made it home safely.
