06 GTO vs 98 Cobra The other day I was out driving around and was stopped at a stop light a few cars back when a 6.0l gto made a u-turn in front of me completely sideways like a jackass... I dont think much past that as he was gone. A little up the road I stop into the convenience store for a drink and his car is there hmmmm.
As I get back in my car he walks by and jumps in his car quickly after I start mine (loud exhaust) And we both take off.
A little ways up the road we start bullshitting and he asks if I wanna run them and I said sure. He stated a 40 roll since we were on a high way and I agree. Im not sure what gear he is in but its high because his car was screaming, So I down shift and he honks it off.
We both jump at the same time and I am pulling on him slowly and then shift to third really easy and shift to 4th really easy also ( new tranny since I broke my other one and can't afford to break this one yet ).3rd gear I pull a little more on him and have to shift to 4th and he pulls back to my quarter panel. Once its in 4th I start to pull him really hard and end up about ~1.5 cars ahead at the top of 4th We went from 40-120ish when we shut down and I had about ~1.5 cars on him.
Talked to him a little more and he said his car only had mufflers, I'm thinking BS. The reason I say BS is because I know what those cars trap stock and its about 106ish and I have seen many full exhaust and filter trapping about 110ish.
I trapped 115 and although I shifted easy I think he had more done to it than just "mufflers" What do you guys think?
Overall I retrack my first statement about the guy as being a dumbass and he was actually pretty cool when we talked and a good sport even losing to a little bitty 4.6

whats with you ford guys always mentioning how small your motors are. it must become redundant saying "size doesnt matter" twice as much as you normally would because you have a little motor. haha good kill anyway..

i think if people wanna talk about how small their motors are it should be the evos and import guys making 500+hp through a 2.4 liter.
good run OP. ive seen some 6.0 GTOs trapping 108+ stock. but who knows.
btw im not a fan of yellow cars but your cobra does look good without the wing

Once again, you won, right? Good kill.
I know nobody's made an excuse yet, but in another thread I debated with someone because they actually think it matters what a person uses to win. Point of the story is the Cobra won. If the GTO won, the Mustang guys wouldn't come in saying the GTO cheated with bigger cubes...

Mine trapped 109 stock at best and 107 at worst all on the same day.
you trapping 115 however should be able to easily hand a its *** of a roll.
I know i will sound generic and repetitive but...ls2 top end is beautiful, hence why such a narrow victory maybe.
