I have never had a rattle out of my blower in the years that I have had this on the car. In fact my head unit is significantly less noisy than the other guy here who has the stock bracket.

Yes there is significantly less static tension placed on the belt when using a spring loaded tensioner. The manual tensioner of the normal bracket requires you to really crank it down to get the belt as tight as possible to try and combat slippage as it expands with RPM.

I agree, anytime you have a spring loaded tensioner the sound of "marbles in a can" is significantly reduced. Bob

After everything I've read, I'm happy I avoided the stock bracket and ordered this one. I'm trying to learn from the mistakes and improvements that have been made over time and build my setup optimal the first time around. This includes doing the Aster bracket, FMIC, custom blower intake and filter up front as well as running MeOH.

I'm sure with Bob's help, I'll be more than happy in the end.

With this bracket you would only need to order a head unit and FMIC?

That and the other supporting mods, but yes as far as the blower setup itself goes I guess it would cover the absolute basics for putting it on. You would need an inlet hat for the blower and a filter, belt, the ATI super damper balancer and Procharger crank pulley add on. You would need a plan for your radiator fan. Either getting the procharger two piece fan shroud and the radiator hold down, or fab up your own shroud and then you would need a 16" fan as the stock fans don't fit with the procharger on there.

It's all the various odds and ends that nickle and dime you with these things.

As long as the water pump does not use the large size bell shaped pulley on it, you can use it. The Corvette LS2 water pump that Chris recommends using with the Aster bracket has a smaller pulley on it. If you have an electric water pump with the large bell shaped pulley and you can figure out a way to swap the pulley on it, then you could use it. I haven't looked into it myself. Bob

Otherwise if there is a way to run the main drive without the dummy pulley on the water pump then it would work. I don't have anyone locally with an electric water pump to play around with so I haven't tried them.

Take a look at the two Meziere pumps below. Hmm... Bob

WP319B - Street Style Electric Water Pump - Has standard large bell shaped idler pulley

WP329N - Late Model Camaro Electric Water Pump - Looks to be a smaller idler pulley? Bob

Introducing our all-new design for the 2010 and later Camaro's. Unbolt your factory pump and bolt on an easy 11-14 horsepower with our street style water pump. An idler is incorporated onto the pump so your belt routing remains in its stock configuration. American made with quality far superior to any other performance aftermarket company, we build our water pumps with pride right here in the USA. Don't be mislead by inflated flow numbers and competitors' outlandish claims. Our 300 series pumps move more water and produce more pressure than any other electric pump on the market. That means better protection for your high horsepower, high demand engine! Our 2 year, unlimited mileage guarantee and full satisfaction money back guarantee should convince you that buying Meziere is buying value!
This water pump model features:

* Fits 2010 and later Camaro's with GM LS-3 and L99 engines
* Idler design lets you keep all of your serpentine belt driven accessories
* Suitable for street or drag strip use – 3000+ hour life expectancy
* Show quality natural machined and clear anodized finish
* Standard motor provides 55 gallons per minute free flow rating
* Ports provided for heater and bypass
* Outlet fitting, heater and bypass fitting included
* Stainless steel large diameter main shaft with high performance ceramic seal

Technical Specifications:

* Finishing The System: This pump is supplied complete with gaskets, hardware and fittings. No additional items should be necessary.
* Amperage draw: Under normal use the pump will draw 11-12 amps.
* Overall Height Dimension: The standard pump is 8.15" long from the mounting surface to the tip of the pump.
* Pump Weight: This application weighs 16.6 lbs.

Hey all,

I would like to provide some feedback on this thing. When you receive the box and open it up, you'll know this is a fantastic piece. Between the instructions, the machine work, packaging, and assembly, this is one of the most professional-looking parts I've ever bought. It's a freakin' work of art.

I had one small issue after installing the bracket, and it was due to having the wrong length standoff for the blower. Procharger has two standoff sizes themselves, but Aster wasn't yet sure what cars required what size. He offered to send me a new one immediately and was very responsive to my inquiries. I had a connection to a local machinist, though, so I just had mine shortened the appropriate amount, and all was well.

After installing it and putting about a thousand miles on it, I have no problems with belt walking around, belt slip, or blower rattle. The rattle is still there just a touch, but it's dramatically reduced. Depending on your idle speed, it may be gone entirely.

In short, I can't recommend this enough. It's a great piece and well worth the price tag.

I've recently sold three more of these brackets, if anyone is looking for a way to eliminate belt slip in higher boost builds with an LS1 F Body with a ProCharger, this is a great way to go. Bob

I got mine last week and just like everyone else said, it is quite nice. I've been dragging my feet on ordering stuff to get my kit together, but this has motivated me to start ordering stuff from Bob to start wrenching.

Nice job guys.
