100 hrs is about 50 too many for business related ventures, gotta leave some personal time in there.

My dear friend Bob!!

I really wish you the very best with this new product!! Which I am sure will be sold really well, because it is really nice option when you thing about upgrading the horrible stock J bracket pulley configuration (belt slipping).

I will look forward to get one of those Aster brackets!! By now, the bank account is a bit out of shape hehe!!

The best for you Bob!!

The order has been placed early with the machine shop and they have ordered the materials. The last estimate I got from the machine shop is another two weeks.

That's a pretty good question. I think most of its advantage is the 99% more belt wrap and the ability to "adjust" to a belt growing a touch. I wonder which spring tensioner they use? I like asters setup because its been proven multiple times and more so because it doesn't require special tools. If I break a belt at the track or something I can change it out with ease. It also allows you to run the 7.65 ATI crank pulley as the SDCE you can't run more then a 7.25 SDCE pulley. Aster have you been able to run some numbers for belt sizes for us guys with the 7.25 crank pulley?

Sorry about the wait. The 7.25" pulley circumference is something like 1.178" smaller than the standard 7.625" crank pulley. The belt generally wraps half the pulley so I would try a belt that is a half inch shorter than the usual belt suggestion for the normal crank pulley.

Bob added a belt matrix to the bottom of the product page on his website for the standard 7.625" crank pulley with various HU pulley sizes listed. However, the alignment on the webpage is currently off. For some reason the tabs are different so the sizes that should be for a center idler position are listed under far and the far sizes are off to the right. I have repeated the matrix below, anything with a ? is unconfirmed and best estimate based on pulley sizes compared to known ones.

Code:
HU Pulley	Idler position
Diameter	Close	center	Far
3.25 50.5
3.4 50.5
3.55 51? 51.5?
3.7 51.5? 52.5?
3.85 52.5
3.9 52.5?	52.5?
4 52.5	53?
4.13 53?
4.25 53.5?
4.38 53.5?	53.5?
4.5 53.5	54?
4.63 54?	54.5?
4.75 54.5?	54.5?
5 55?
5.25 56?

Just installed installed this bracket. The direction were easy to follow, fitment was perfect.
There is a lot more belt wrap around the pulleys, say goodbye to belt slip. Using a 7.65 and 3.55 pulley I needed a 51.5" belt. I installed the idler pulley in the center hole, this gave the belt the most tension without going to far. I would highly recommend this setup to anyone, even running low boost. This bracket helps take pressure off the bearings in the procharger by using spring loaded tensioner. Thanks for a great product Bob and Chris.

Awesome, good to see Jason! I confirmed your belt length to the belt matrix chart, thanks! If your belt stretches after it breaks in, and you end up going to the middle position, please let me know.

Chris, thanks for the heads up on the alignment on the matrix chart. I hadn't noticed it.

Thanks! Bob

I've been playing around with the matrix chart, I could not get it to align after I had imported it. It would look just fine until viewed "live", so I redid the chart. I'm still not 100% pleased with it, I'll probably add question marks to it where there are no numbers, so it will be easier to read. Bob

Bob and Aster,

I am interested in this product if it improves the "rattle" sound that some complain about with the stock bracket. If I spend as much as I am about to on the system, call me a ricer if you want but I want it to sound as good as it goes. I know the SDCE almost eliminates this rattle sound. Does this bracket improve or fix this sound?

The second reason and really the most important is I want to reduce the pressure on the crank. By using this bracket since it has a tensioner does that mean there will be less tension on the crank/bearings compared to a standard set up that always has a lot of pressure on the crank?
