I have a letter from Pontiac saying my production# is 418 on my 02 Collector Edition Trans Am. (conv./Auto) Can/Do you have the ASC# ? vin; 1GTDT19W9Y8181814 ?

Could take anywhere from two weeks to two months to get the info back, fyi

Remember guys if you have a 2000 WS6 there is a chance you won't get your build date/number. I've also ran into this issue with a couple of 1999 cars too.

Ya I called slp on my 97 they told me i have to talk to pontiac. Can i pm you the vin and will you beable to get the build number or am i sol? They did say they had info for the 96 though.

SLP did the work on the 96-97 cars, ASC took the contract over in 1998.

Might try to talk to someone else at SLP, they are the only ones that have the build info on those model years

Called again today same thing told me pontiac or gm would have the build number guess ill never know all i know it was built some time in may of 1997.

Rumor has it that SLP was not happy about ASC getting the WS6 contract starting in '98, so they didn't keep build# records for the '97 WS6s. The WS6 Registry contains only one '97 WS6 w/ a build#, and its not even in sequence. CompNine's database showed only 3895 total WS6s were built in '97 and this one claims to be #8555, so it is highly suspect.
