Hi im seeing alot of talk about the ls1 air led's on lt1 car's can some one fill me in thanks .

Where are you seeing all this talk?

Basically......6-8" straight shot from filter to throttle body with no turns > CAI kits for LT1s which have two 90* bends and over 24" from filter to TB

Just guessing on the distances but I feel they're conservative.

LS1 lid helps throttle response and gives documented gains in HP across the RPM range. But you have to cut your core support to make it fit.

so all i have to do is cut the support ? any pix on this nice if some one had a post on here about this maybe like a sticky so this ? stops geting asked over and over.

i know how to do it just wanna know if it will fit under a ultra z hood ?

If you don't want to cut the hood, you're gonna have to drop the radiator as far back as you can and make your own supports.

The one i seen, had hood cut similar to pic above. But did not show thru.
I have a short lid base and very well fitting carbon fiber print lid. That im fixin to sell if anyone interested

nemess what do you mean could you show me pix why are the lt1 cars so diff from a ls1 car dont a z28 ls1 have the air lids?

Ls1 and lt1 cars use different core supports that's why the ls1 lid isn't a 'bolt on' swap.
There is a ton of info on this site if you search for it. At least 3 write ups I would say. Its a pretty involved process.

I'm debating right now if I should try it or just do and 'over the radiator' style intake so I don't have to cut my ss hood.
