New 5th Gen Record - 11.549 @ 120.6
I just got off the phone with Owen Priest of Advanced Racing Dynamics here in Houston, TX. He just ran an 11.549 @ 120.6mph, topping Hennessey's record of 11.63.
The vids should be posted soon in this thread!

Whoa, whoa, whoa. 600rwhp and it ran a freaking 11.5? There are 4th gens running 11.5's with 400rwhp. I'm assuming they sprayed on the pass? If they did, that sounds pretty pathetic to me.
I'm getting tired of seeing awful results of this car and the legions of followers blaming it on bad driving. I guess every single driver thus far has been a "bad driver". When are we going to see a good driver? If the norm turns out to be a 600rwhp car that can't break out of the mid 11's, God help Government Motors.
Props to the shop for what they did. They did a hell of a job. It's just the platform looks terrible. Too fat, too heavy, not aerodynamic...yeesh. That shop did a great job with what appears to be a horrible platform.

k, so total mods on the car are what?
List:
Seriously, for those mods, something is going wrong.
List:
- Drag Radials
- 200 Shot (Wet)
- Stand alone fuel system with Race Gas
- Slightly larger Cam Shaft (Factory provisions still)
- Cold Air Kit
- Full exhaust (Definitely some weight saved... Mid length Heads, No cats, Borla XR-1's)
- Owens Tuning
- 586 rwhp
- Scaled weight??
Seriously, for those mods, something is going wrong.

In defense of the 2010 camaro, you have a higher advantage with your Z simply because you have a Live axle (Not IRS), better gear ratio, less weight, and other items.
The 2010 was not setup for as much drag strip bruising like the 4th gens.
Just saying.

Congrats on the record...Not taking anything from you guys, but i think hennessy's record is more impressive to me, they did a very close time with 530rwhp & 6spd compared to your 586hp & auto. BTW I really think your Camaro got more in it thought.
Congrats on the record & can't wait to see the video

I thought GM did everything right with this car performance wise, and it's the best looking domestic car on the road, IMO.
But, these numbers are seriously starting to dishearten me.
I bet those nutswingers at Camaro5 are all like, "Wow, this is the coolest run evar!" If there's a 10 page thread over there, I bet there's not five people who said, "That time sucks."
