forum for the G8! Well they're already rolling off the assembly line and there's no forum for it, yet the maybe a Camaro in a few years forum has been up for a while now.

Looks cool. I'll have to convince my mom to get one, she was gonna get an LX, but with all the tuning problems, and the fact there's allready so many on the road this would be a better choice. Not to metion it probably handles much better.

They do look ok. A rear wheel drive with decent power. I just saw it for the first time today. http://www.pontiac.com/g8/

Seating 5 comfortably, F&R IRS, 362hp, 3800lbs even with all the luxury items and airbags, agressive sporty styling yet not over the top. Sure its not for everone but at least its not a GTO. Thats where Dodge went wrong with the Charger, and the fact the Hemis cant be tuned. Now if they can just bring back the T/A, they'll have a car for everybody. They're headed in the right direction with the solstice and now the G8, just keep it up Pontiac!

Tater, No "E" in Potato lol Also, the "Maybe a Camaro" is a "Going to be a Camaro".
I didn't know the Hemi's can't be tuned, sounds pretty stupid, but that's not where Dodge went wrong with the Charger. It's not using their ORIGINAL 4dr design, or if they wouldn't do that, make it a 2dr. That's where they screwed the pooch.

This is the dullest thing I have seen. Looks like a damn Rally car(think: WRX, Lancer) to me.
How in the world can anyone claim this to be an improvement over the GTO?
After seeing this, Im thinking that I will no longer retain any hope for a new 5th gen T/A and buy a Camaro simply to SPITE Pontiac....

Yes, this car is an improvement(performance wise, at least) to the Grand Prix, but it is nowhere near the catagory of a GTO. IMO.

The Holden's are running 13.3 stock, same car. The G8 is going be a nice, sporty, quick *** family ride that personally, I can't wait to own. The GTO is nice, don't get me wrong, but really the only thing is has going for it against this car is the lack of 4 doors. Not to mention the G8 will have a 4 link IRS, which eliminates all wheel-hop - currently the black plague to the GTO's.

Im not trying to Compare it to the GTO im just glad they didnt ruin it by calling it a GTO. Like Dodge did with the Charger. Its not for everybody, but its a step in the right direction. Now just bring back the T/A, and Pontiac will finally be an exciting brand again. Do you rember when this was all Pontiac had to offer?

Give me a break.Like 2 more doors makes the car any less "classy". A 4 door LT1 Impala? How you can say a 4 door Impala would be a better ride than the G8 confuses me on so many levels that I actually got a migraine trying to figure that one out.
Just because it's got 4 doors doesn't mean it won't hold it's own. Being able to transport 4 doesn't automatically rule it a family ride. I call it a family ride because that's what I'll be using it for. It's going to be a very nice step up for Pontiac in terms of 'classy' vehicles.

I didnt say it couldnt "hold its own". I simply said I dont like it, it looks like a Rally car, and IF, for some strange *** reason I wanted to wate my money on a 4 door car that would go fast(which in itself should be considered an oxymoron), I would rather have an Impy. I prefer the GTO. My opinion. I voiced it. If you dont like it, sorry bout your bad luck. Thus is the nature of the internet. No biggie...
