I use Redline in everything I own, my Z28, my wife's Vette, my F-250 Powerstroke (15 quarts) , and even my lawn mower. Simply the best IMO.

There honestly is no such thing as the very best out there, as that question is so hard to answer since it depends on what your priorities are. Long engine life? Longest drain intervals? Higher horsepower? Best MPG? All of the oils mentioned so far are so good it all boils down to personal preference, availability and price. Redline, Amsoil, Royal Purple and Mobil 1 are all top notch oils and all of them will give your engine long life. Those of you truly interested in choosing what oil is right for you would do yourselves a favor by doing oil analysis on your oil. I started doing it last year and am learning a lot right now. I'm going to be experimenting with many different oils and viscosities over the coming years in 4 different cars (mine, my wife's, my sister's and my mom's). By the time I have it all figured out, there will be new oils out though, and I can start all over again!

Also, here is another place I hang out and discuss oil:

http://theoildrop.server101.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php

People post their oil analysis results on there for all to see, and it's a great source of comparison info! I'd love to see more LS1 guys on there doing oil analysis.

I'm using their Supreme 7000 blend 10w30 right now in my LT1 Firebird. This oil has proven itself to perform very well in the used oil analysis reports I've seen. It cut my bearing wear (lead content) more than in half compared to Valvoline Maxlife 10w30.

Here is that report:

Someone just a few minutes ago posted a new UOA report on Supreme 7000, check it out here:

I keep close track of her MPG and it hasn't gone up though. If anything it's gone down (which makes sense because the Mobil 1 she was using before was thinner, it was 10.2cst at 100c on her last analysis, while the virgin analysis of the exact batch of Royal Purple I'm using was 11.4cst at 100c)
