Default Drag Wheels with some Style?

hey guys, I've been looking around the Wheels & Tires boards for awhile now, trying to find what drag wheels I'll choose for this season. 3.5"s upfront, 10's in the back, both 15".

It seems that its either Prostars or some crazy expensive wheel?

My car is pretty much Show and Strip (odd combo). So I want something nice looking, but strong for the track, without dropping a ton of cash on them.

any suggestions? (please post pics)

Prostars are nice I guess, but just seem a little overplayed?

Bogart D10 or any other Bogart. They are very lightweight and fit the best.

The Bogarts are expensive but worth it in the long run.

i think i paid around 1400 for everything including lugs/washers. They are expensive but are made to fit our cars and they are a huge weight savings.

steveo - i like the wheels!

The Bogarts are nice, but still nothing just makes my jaw drop. The Bolt R/T's do, but $$$$

I like the ones that are coming out from Boyd Jr. in the other thread, but who knows if they will really be out in Feb.......stupid lawyers may change that (plus I didn't even see how much they cost...)

Matt,

It must be nice to have Norwalk at your door step! I usually come up to the Pontiac event and that is one nice track.

I have Prostars on my car now for racing 15X3.5 / 15X10 and also have an extra set of Prostars 15X5 / 15X10 for the street. I really like the five star wheel but I am thinking of changing to something else as well! It is hard to beat the price of the Prostars though.

The funny thing is this I have two full sets of wheels with center caps for less then the price of four Bogarts and I can only see one Bogart wheel I like and that is the Floyd Welded R/T which is the same design I basically have.

Good luck on your search!

Yulp, I don't actually live in Sandusky, just put that there since its the biggest local city. I'm about 7 minutes from the Norwalk Raceway...I love it.

I have a bad feeling I'll be going with the Prostars. They aren't too bad though.

8" backspacing for the 10" rears?
then 1.5 or something for the 3.5" fronts?

Yeah, a lot of people have been running grinded calipers and they were ok, but a few people ended up snapping the calipers.

I didn't want to take a chance.

I ordered the Summit fake Prostars...according to a lot of using the fronts need no grinding or spacers...and the rears might need just a tiny tiny bit.
