Rocker Arm Sequence What is the correct way to tighten the stock rockers down. I know that they have no adjustment. Do you just install them and torque them down. I also plan to prelube the motor. That should put some oil into the lifters. Will that have any impact on the outcome. I also want to check my pushrod length while I'm at it. Any info would be appreciated
just torque them down any order to 22ft lbs. Then turn the motor over a few times and check the torque on them again.
If your heads are ported, then the intake bolts will need thread sealent on them to seal them up. Thats if your heads have a decent port job where the rocker arm bolts will stick threw into the port.
if the lifters are new then they need to take an oil bath for about 30 mins or so. If they have been sitting in the engine it would be a good idea to pour some fresh oil on them, although the rocker arm torque wont be affected either way. Just a precaution on preventing any damage on startup with dry lifters.
pushrod length can easily be checked while doing this. if you dont know how to, get on comp's website or google how to do it.

I have had my rockers on and off 20 times without a single issue with just torquing them down. you just have to turn over the motor a few times to make sure they are seated all the way.
