just always be ready for customizing parts.... the majority of the parts on my car that i bought i usually had to modify to make work with another part... one instance

race craft 3rd gen style 2" drop spindles have to be reamed out to fit the madman manual rack... the spindles were built to fit the stock rack... no big deal but its just a constant thing with this car.

Fuel cell looks good there

I'm gonna have one made to fit out of alum, little heavier unfortunately but I want the returns on the side instead of the top, that and it's gonna cost me about the same amount to have one made as it was to buy a 3 gallon sfi Jazz one, so I figured why not have it made so it's the way I want it.

Mine's going in the same place, makes for alot less hose, and now ya dont' have to fight gravity to feed the motor

only thing i'd look at if your building a custom cell is you might build it shorter... i run my hoses under the core support and the top 90* -8 fittings still had to be trimmed around the only thing you dont want is the cell hanging down very far so i tucked it under the core support as much as possible... i also use my new bumper support for a tiedown area on the sides where i put the extra gusset.... i learned alot from this build up so if you need any "what not to does" or suggestions on placement of certain things i may be able to help save you some trouble down the road... i've put on and moved several things after more things were added... but live and learn!

That was a concern, to maks sure the cell didn't hang too low. I'm only looking for about 2 gallons of capacity, so it shouldnt' be a big deal. I'm gonna go shorter/wider with it then what the jazz cell is that what you used.

I'll get pictures up when it's done, the fuel pumps will be mounted to the lower radiator support, or on the sides of the bumper support, not sure on that yet.

I've seen them there too.

Way I figure it, is if the fuel cell is in the nose and a collision happens that's bad enough to have a fuel pump that's bolted to the same support have a problem, chances are the cell itself is gonna probably break, in that case I'll have alot more to worry about then the condition of the fuel pump.

I generally overdo everything, so I am sure it will be solid enough so there's no problems. I'm trying to keep it all as clean as I can, pumps as close together as I can, etc.etc. It will just make rewiring the whole car while it's down/I'm taking a break all that much easier.

You've got to paint the engine bay though, once you have everything in there fabbed up, ya have to take it apart and paint it. Flat black, easy to touch up, and is a classic clean look.

That's the one thing I actually look foreward to, just because it looks that much better

we made our own carbon fiber... its only 1 layer carbon fiber and 1 layer kevlar except on the bumper piece it has 1 layer carbon and 2 kevlar for extra stiffness

yes the door panels have seams in them i was too cheap to buy a new roll because its so expensive i just laid 2 together... im going to put a vinyl decal down the door later to cover it up... maybe
