If it's truly your passion you have to learn to do a lot of stuff yourself, the day you build, tune, update your chassis and build, tune and work new combos on your motor is the day you start saving big money.

A 25.2 will cost like 12k easy, you can build the frame yourself for under 3k, it's a big difference. Custom fab work, jesus look at the price for tin and intercooler work or custom build headers.

All I know is a tig is your best friend lol. I am going to get one and learn to weld, but most of my finish welding I'll have my buddy do who is a welder by trade.

i took a couple years of trade school in just welding and i've had some welding jobs.... and welding these cars/building them is a bitch... and the hardest thing i've ever had to weld.... ill rephrase that... hardest positions i've ever welding in on top of tight spaces that you cant get your hood jambed in far enough to see what your doing.... some things i did with a buddy holding a mirror or i did blind and by feel...

i now understand why these guys charge soo much to build them... its not a walk in the park in these stock floor cars...

I can't wait to see your car finished, nothing like a wheels up pass, besides naked woman but that doesn't count

Sounds like fun, I'm still waiting for my tree to grow money

I have the entire front end cut off and just have a few places to trim up on the floor so it is all ready to get the new 25.2 100% full tube frame

Post up some photos!!!

heres some welding pictures....

some of these welds were pretty hard to do cause i could never get the painted surface clean enough... i think the metal was a little porous and it had oil and grease in it... but oh well it will be painted soon....

ill have some more pics saturday

I don't see anything wrong with those welds, looks damn good to me!

I hope someday I can be able to do that kind of stuff myself.
