ohhhh right. thanks for the info.

According to thermodynamics you can't make power/torque unless you burn gasoline...

are there any dyno graphs for this engine? what are the characteristics of the engine? Id assume it would be similar to the wankle. Has MYT turbocharged the engine yet? also what would the engines be used for? fixed generators or could they could be used in cars?

I call BS...

he claims torque with pressurized air... but where is the firing engine data? Those can be completely different things..

just an FYI... i can put air pressure into a standard supercharger and make torque.. doesnt mean its a good engine though.

It'll probably be just like a rotary. Horrible combustion, but more power events per revolution to compensate.

hmmm lots of combustion and 850ci? I think it will eat gas for that, anyone else? Or does it not run on gas? Ohhh the confusion...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kGlUZg2pC0Q

In this video he says 4000 ft/lb of torque at 3000 rpm's.

Watch this 150 miles to the gallon and 815 ft/lbs @ idle!!!

Seems like vaporware to me... Lots of promises for years... And yes I've seen the compressed air prototype in person. That Youtube video was shot at the same auto show (possibly on the same day!) where I saw it.

There is at least one other company with promises of making an engine just like this...

Imagine the possibilities, no fitment issues to speak of, and they seem low maintenence. Great gas mileage and great power, why haven't they done this yet???

like most internet ideas.... because the real automotive engineers realize this is crap..

I will say he made a good air pump though..

OK but think of this, we haven't seen it run on gas. I think there is a documentary out called "Who killed the electric car". It speaks of auto makers selling electric cars in the 70's or 80's and then buying them back because they realized that this would put gas powered cars under. So maybe the reason we haven't heard too much about it is because the government wants to keep it as hidden as possible so that people don't realize the inefficiency of our so called "Home Team" automakers engines. So nay-sayers talking about it being a great air-pump will really keep this thing from coming out and showing its true colors.

Just my .02, not a conspiracy theory just some food for thought.

i think you give too much credit to conspiracy theories... if car companies can save some $.. and put out a better product.. you bet they'll do it.. especially NOW!! and i HIGHLY doubt the government is "pulling the wool over our eyes" to protect car companies.. especially when the car companies are begging them for $$

I'm all for seeing this run on gas.. please show me!! but i have seen far to many of these new inventions fail..

Looking at the Youtube video of the engine,
it seems like b.s.
He says that this little "pringles" tube he is holding will replace a normal
car engine.
It will generate 200h.p.

Too good to be true.
smells like a scam to me

ok but they said the same thing about LSD. "This little thing will get me how high?". LOL playing but for real look at computer chips they get stronger and faster with every passing year. I like the idea though.

this thing is amazing. however i do believe the government severly limits things like these as far as alternate fuel or extremely effiecient engines. i know of a guy that lives around me and he invented a carb. that allowed a car to get 90-100 MPG. A gov't corperation bought the idea and destroyed it. they have too much tax gains off of fuel to for everyone to stop buying it or greatly reduceing consumption of it. something like 60 cents a gallon of gas is tax. there are many other things like this that happen all the time, even with developing medicine for sick people lot of money there too. well thats my .02
