Laying the Radiator Flat?

Search RX7club.com, lots of info. Also, it's mostly the drifters doing it, so look into it around those sections. Basically, the radiator is on the bottom, slanted just like the regular 4th gen setup. The air from that goes into the engine bay and out the bottom. Then, the intercooler is mounted vertically over the radiator and they install some sort of heat-extracting vents on the hood for the air to escape from that. The setups are really efficient -- they have to be. Not a lot of air getting into your cooling system if you're driving sideways instead of forwards
. Also, only some of them use fans. At speed, the extractor vents work pretty well and I think thats why.I know it's not quite what you meant, but I hope you find it helpful.
also if you really don't want to place the intercooler in front of the rad, just buy an air to water intercooler and place it anywhere you want.
