Default 6.0L Iron Block in CTS-V

I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this question, but I have a CTS-V that I'm putting a 6.0L block into right now. I got a call yesterday that the mounting plates that the engine mount would go into is different between the LS6 block and the LQ4/9 iron block. Does anybody know what's different and what do I need to do to fix it?

I came across these online, but I've never heard of the shop before:
http://www.trentfabrication.com/stor...roducts_id=297

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Those are mounts to put an LSx motor into a Jeep. Not sure how that would help your application.

I wasn't sure, that's why I asked. But either way, I'm trying to find some info on getting that 6.0L block in there, and the only answer I seem to be getting is that I have to fab something, but I can't imagine why they would be different.

I know, my D1SC is so ready for it

But apparently the stupid motor mounts are different. I talked to the guys at LMR, they're just going to fab something up - I just didn't want to if I didn't have to....

I thought the mounts on all LS motors were in the same place?

The rear mounting pads on the block are not there.

all Ls series motors have holes in the block for the motor mounts in the exact same spot.

Then maybe you can explain why both iron 6L blocks I installed in CTSV's required modified motor mounts to allow them to be mounted in the cars?????

As was stated before, the rear mounting pads are not on some iron blocks.

Generally LS blocks have 3 mounting pads on each side. Front middle and rear. GTO, CTSV etc use the front and rear pads for their motor mount. C5's use the front and middle pads. The iron 6L blocks I've used only have the front and middle pads cast into the block, which requires a modified motor mount.
