Just made a similar post in response to these. These things are a big enough pain in *** to set up with the real manufacturer.....can't imagine the agony in a knock-off. ESPECIALLY in an fbody.....

I asked if they sold the runners without the tb's and they said no. I'd toss the itb's and use the runners to make a twin plenum setup like the C5R induction setup or like a viper.

Thought you guys may be interested in this, my Jenvey arrived yesterday, this is the first dummy fit. No injectors or rails on yet though.

Thanks, yea I have a couple, most comprehensive is on Street Commodore Forum, the link is here http://forum.streetcommodores.com.au...8573412&page=1 but I think its down for maintenance today.
Just a question, I need to run a vaccum line for my brake booster, also some other bits and pieces like crankcase breather. The manifold has no provision int he runners at present. Should I drill and tap them say 1/8" on the underside of the cast runner. And then fit a hose tail, and run all 8 back to a manifold block, with then the booster line going to it?
I have read about vacuum assist having problems with big cams, would it be a better idea to have a second vacuum tank and plumb to that?
Or could i get by with only tapping into one of the runners, not all 8?

Drill and tap 1/8" npt underneath just past the TB blades. Tie them all to a common vacuum block. You won't know if you'll have enough vacuum consistently to boost your brakes until you have it running and test it. I don't run a brake booster on my SLC so it's a non-issue in my build. I run a vacuum block for MAP reference. You should try to make all of the lines close to the same length, and as short as possible to get a stable map reading at idle.
On my c6 I had enough vacuum for my power brakes when I ran my Harrop with a 255/263 112lsa cam. Every setup and combo is different though.

Yes mate, full EFI, I had forgotten I started this thread, the cars finished and on the road now. The full build has moved as the old forum it was on died. If you are on Facebook, the cars page is HSV454. This is a pic of the finished engine bay, I have carbon air horns I use every now and then to change the look up a a bit. Btw I ended up having to run an electric vacuum pump for the brakes, as we just couldn't pull enough vacuum off the manifold, I also needed to play around with how the lines went to the vacuum manifold block to get a steady MAP sensor reading.
