If you are thinking of "upgrading" to an aftermarket fan, I'd strongly advise against it. Having working for two OEM companies in powertrain cooling, I'll assure you that you wont find OEM quality in aftermarket fans or radiators. Just looking at the aftermarket radiators makes me laugh.

Hey Trey, how long should our OEM original LS1 fans last with a manual fan switch(running in stop and go or city traffic)?

If you're in the market for an aftermarket fan my suggestion would be Spal, or nothing at all.

Hey, that rhymes....

They should last a really long time. Then again "should" is a word I use frequently when discussing GM electrical components.

I thnk those fans are delphi, I didn't work for delphi nor was I on F-body stuff. I was Sigma stuff (CTS, STS, SRX + V series)

I was looking into using aftermarket fans and I think someone told me 2,600 cfm combined. Not sure though. I found a single fan that was like 3,600 cfm, but I wanted two in case one failed.
