Default Build Sheet > What's in my motor

It seems this would be an appropriate forum to post my question. Should my motor builder have provided me a build sheet when my motor was forged. All I know is that a Mahle Power Pak piston kit was used and the basics like what H/C, injectors, fuel pump, pushrods, etc were used. I have no idea what the other internals are and would like to have some sort of build sheet on-hand.

I was furnished receipts with what the motor was built with, however, it doesn't tell me a lot, such as, what valves were used, what the rings were gapped at ... things like that. Would my builder think I was rdiculous by asking this sort of information in the form of a build/sec sheet? The motor was built awhile back.

Not every shop makes a build sheet he might not have one? You dont have to have one to build a motor, its just records. He could have just threw it together though, who knows.

Thats' what I was thinking. He's a good guy. I'll just ask him, if he remembers. It's been quite a while back.

He's going to say it was built with everything within spec.
I build my own engines and write everything down, not just specs but observations, etc.
I love how many people you hear say they have a balanced and blueprinted engine and have no clue what it means. Blueprinted means all the specs are written down, pretty handy when you have custom pushrods, etc.
