Just some thoughts,

You have the hard parts? If you have a clean enough piston check the piston to wall clearance and your ring end gaps. If they are too tight you will know right there.

Its like the Chicken and the egg; too hot of plug, a little too lean and you have detonation, cylinder pressures and temps go through the roof, Tight ring end gaps close up due to excessive heat, The increased friction causes additional heat, the piston over expands, and the rod/wrist pin gets pulled from the piston as it locks up in the bore. With detonation and the associated high Pressures/temperatures this can still happen with a "loose" engine.

If the clearances are fine you can look back on tuning, plugs, fuel system or elsewhere.

One things for sure, no one is going to raise their hand and say it's their fault. Thats why race engines typically don't have a guarantee.

hummmm I've heard so many good things about Futural... I'd say innocent until proven guilty. It's too easy to judge based on one side of the story.

I'd usually tend to agree, but I've also heard several horror stories, such as this. All sound very similar...I've been debating on who to take my car to once I get the new engine in it, and when it comes down to Thunder Racing or Futral, I think I know which way I'm going now...Regardless of whos fault this was...

All machine work has now been finished. The Jesel belt drive cam cover is different on the LSX vs C5R block. New cover had to be ordered. Took a while for the repairs to be made on the crank due to the damaged mains and rods. Went with different rods this time. Motor will be finished at end of week. Vengeance will install motor and trans the following week if they have an opening.

It has been nice having people talk with you about what is going on with your build. Almost on a daily basis you receive a phone call with a update. Pics are sent and when all is completed you receive a Build Sheet.

but it seems to be on track

what other plans do u have for it ron? more testing or she is right to be raced now?

I will wait and let my father (ZO6 CU) give more detail but......

After all the complaining about how the transmission was a piece of crap and wouldn't stall. With some tuning from someone who knows what they are doing with BS3.

Its amazing that the tranny stalls to the correct rpm now......

Same transmission
Same Torque Converter
We are about 150lbs heavier than we were also. (LSX block etc..)
Lower compression and much lower timing

I think I can say I rest my case, its pretty obvious. Its way to funny that this thread got brought up literally the day we got to make a pass with it.

Thanks of course Mr. Ron Mowen for posting this video.

i am also oversea's so i just dont know what u guys are doing-

like i said just doing some reading-

i wont get in the bad bitch he said that he stuffed that debate-

its good to see it's all up and running-
