vinyl manta???

does anybody know if you can purchase a vinyl "stick on" type manta graphic for an SS hood? I tried searching ebay and I couldn't pull up anything. IF there is something like this out there is it even worth it? pics would be nice too. thanks for the help.

Yup, mines vinyl. You can get the full style in vinyl as well. I think I got mine from a place called 3rdgendecals.com or something like that....

that's exactly what i was looking for. Are these a PIA to apply? I am thinking about getting red for my black SS, has anyone done the same?

The full manta's are a PITA to put on. Mine took me so long, and i still didnt get it perfect. I've had experience with vinyl too. I'd recommend having somebody put it on for you.

You get 2 vinyl manta's from 3rdgendecals for the price of 1 i believe. That way if you screw 1 up, you still got another to work with. I think on that site it has a black SS with a red manta.

If you use some kind of spray, like i used Window Tint Adhesive from Advanced Auto when i installed my sideflags. It should be easier, helps keep the vinyl from sticking and you have time to move it into place. Just spray the hell out of the vinyl & hood scoop. That way it wont dry up to fast on you and begin to stick.
