Battery went dead, So I got a jump, now my radio/guages do not work:?
I had my radio on while I was doing some detailing with my car. When it came time to turn my car on it didn't have enough juice to start and just kept clicking. So I got my truck and jumped my battery with it. The car started up but when it did, the lcd that shows the odometer didn't light up and the lcd on the radio (factory) did not show up. But all the buttons on the radio lit up, just not the lcd. So I rev the engine a little to charge it better and the tachometer doesn't work. Then I notice my temperature needle is sticking straight up and there is no way my car was that hot because it was cold outside and hadn't been started for hours. Then my gas gauge said I had 3/4 tank full and I really only had 1/4 tank full. So I take my car down the street for a test drive and notice my speedometer doesn't work either. So now my guages are all screwed up and my radio won't turn on, and both the lcd on my guage cluster and radio don't light up. Could this be some fuses that blew when I jumped the car?
Any suggestions. I don't know how fast i'm going and how much gas I have and no radio sucks!
TIA,
Jason

Dude, I hope it's not your PCM
A mechanic I know told me that jumpin' these cars car-to-car is b a d
He said that the newer cars send a surge back through the wires that can fry the PCM's . . . I'm pretty sure he meant if the LS1 was the car giving the jump but . . . ya might wanna check that too.

yeah, I've also heard this about jump starting with our cars and the ECM being sensitive. I'd check fuses first though.
